The Portuguese canoeing duo, composed of João Ribeiro and Messias Baptista, won the silver medal in the K2 500 meters final at the canoeing World Championships held in the city of Poznan. The Portuguese athletes completed the race with a time of 1:29.29.
In the final classification of the race, Germany finished in first place, securing the gold medal. The Czech Republic completed the podium by finishing in third place, obtaining the bronze medal.
