Preto Zezé, one of the founders of CUFA Brasil and president of CUFA-RJ, is the guest speaker to address climate emergencies in the favelas during the anniversary of ENSP/Fiocruz, on the 3rd.
The event marks the celebration of another year of the National School of Public Health of the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation, an institution affiliated with the Ministry of Health.
On this occasion, Preto Zezé intends to address how the environmental crisis disproportionately affects peripheral communities and favelas in Brazil.
The founder of CUFA uses a metaphor to summarize his view on the issue: "the shipwreck may be general, but the drowning is selective," pointing out that the impacts of climate change do not affect everyone equally.
