Director Ana Rocha de Sousa is set to premiere her new film, "Wings," with a world premiere scheduled for Odessa, Ukraine, next Tuesday. The feature film was also shot in that city.
The film addresses female suffering in the context of a war that has already lasted four years. The story centers on a Ukrainian family and includes themes such as war crimes and the need to leave everything behind.
The narrative follows the journey of this family fleeing the war and starting their life over in Portugal. The film, as the title suggests, "puts a finger on the wound" of the Ukrainian conflict.
