NASA launched the largest panoramic observatory to explore the universe, the Nancy Grace Roman telescope, aboard a SpaceX rocket. This telescope represents an important milestone in space exploration and astronomical research.
The Nancy Grace Roman telescope's main objective is to explore the universe and seek answers about various scientific mysteries, including dark energy, exoplanets, and infrared astrophysics. These areas of research represent some of the greatest challenges in modern science.
After launch, the Roman telescope headed toward an observation point located 1.6 million kilometres from Earth. This strategic location will allow the observatory to carry out its observations with great precision and capture valuable data about the cosmos.
