Pope Leo XIV is among the names chosen by American magazine Vanity Fair for its best-dressed selection of 2026. The pontiff's inclusion draws attention for the look that gained traction throughout the year: a cream-colored cassock worn with Nike sneakers.
The publication once again selected its style references of the decade, bringing together figures from different areas, such as popes, actors, musicians, athletes, designers, and members of royalty. All were placed side by side in the selection.
The selection does not function as a traditional ranking. Instead of establishing an order among the chosen, Vanity Fair organized the names into five groups, defined by how each person relates to fashion.
There is room for both those who have built a recognizable image over the years and for other profiles, showing the diversity of approaches to personal style contemplated by the publication.
