Diesel gets cheaper in Spain: discount rises to 20 cents

Drivers who refuel in Spain will have additional help from this Tuesday onwards. The discount applied to diesel through the Hydrocarbon Tax will increase to 20 cents per liter, in an attempt to support drivers facing high fuel prices.

This measure represents an increase compared to the previously applicable discount, which was lower. The Spanish government decided to reinforce support for consumers in a context of strong pressure on fuel prices.

Drivers who cross the border to refuel in Spain may directly benefit from this discount, which is applied at the time of fuel purchase. This reduction comes as part of a broader set of measures to mitigate the impact of the rising cost of living.
