Nepal authorities confirm 768 dead and more than three thousand missing

Nepali and Chinese authorities confirmed that the total number of deaths caused by Wednesday's flash flood rose to 768. The flash flood is believed to have been caused by heavy rains that hit the region.

On Nepal's side, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority confirmed at least 752 dead and 2,502 missing. On China's side, 16 dead and 564 missing have been confirmed.

More than three thousand people remain missing in total, including three Portuguese citizens, according to information released by authorities.
