Chega MP to the Assembly of the Republic, Francisco Gomes, accused this Sunday the Regional Government led by Miguel Albuquerque of governing "with his back turned to the people." During a party initiative in the municipality of Machico, the parliamentarian criticized the regional executive, considering it an elitist government that lost the ability to respond to the concrete problems of Madeiran families.
The accusation arose on the occasion of the Feast of the Most Holy Sacrament and the Burning of the Facho torches, a traditional celebration of the Island of Madeira. Francisco Gomes took the opportunity to reinforce the critical message of Chega in relation to the actions of Miguel Albuquerque's executive in the region. The event in Machico thus served as a political platform for the party to express its opposition to the current regional government.
