Feira do Ano – Festas Concelhias 2026 officially opened on Saturday, August 29, in Montemor-o-Velho. This year's edition holds special significance as it commemorates the 600 years since the granting of the annual fair charter in the municipality. The event runs until September 8, totaling 11 days of celebrations.

The fair places Montemor-o-Velho at the center of the region during this period, bringing together diverse activities for visitors and residents alike. The programming is dedicated to culture, gastronomy, economy, associativism, and local traditions.

Through this celebration, the municipality recognizes the historical importance of the fair for the identity and development of the community over six centuries.

Faro Santander Celebrates 10 Days of Open Doors with Party, Music and Games!

Faro Santander celebrates 10 days of open doors starting September 8, inaugurating new cultural and gastronomic spaces in the iconic Pereda Building, including the "The Gardens of Faro" rooftop terrace with stunning views of the city and bay, and the Lumen restaurant with capacity for 50 people, offering a menu based on local and seasonal products. The center, designed by award-winning architect David Chipperfield and managed by the Banco Santander Foundation, will open to the public from September 18, operating daily from 10am to 8pm, with tickets at 14 euros and reduced rates for Cantabria residents, students, seniors and unemployed people.
