Spanish psychologist explains why self-love influences partner choice

oglobo30 August 2026 at 08:30

The Spanish psychologist Elizabeth Clapés, 28 years old, launched her fifth book, "This is how you will see tomorrow", in which she addresses the current society's difficulty in dealing with suffering due to the culture of immediacy. Specialist in self-esteem and interpersonal relationships, Clapés is also a writer, speaker and professor.

According to the author, pain needs to be lived and gone through, not avoided. She defends a comprehensive perspective on health and states that, when pain is repressed, it inevitably emerges at some point, as it remains as unprocessed energy.

The book is part of an editorial trajectory that has already yielded more than 500 thousand readers to the author. Among her previous works are "You are not the problem", "Losing you to find myself", "Until you like yourself" and "Dear me: we need to talk". Clapés has become a phenomenon both in the editorial market and on social media.
