The Junta de Freguesia of Casal Comba will hold the second edition of the Mercado Quinhentista, a thematic event dedicated to the 16th century. This year's edition will take place from September 4 to 6, lasting three days, which represents an expansion compared to the previous edition.
The event will take place at Parque da Via Romana, a space that evokes the Roman presence in the region and serves as an appropriate setting for the historical recreation. The Via Romana suggests a connection between the Roman and 16th-century past of the region.
The organizers expect the market to bring historical reenactments, craftsmanship, and activities characteristic of the 16th century, providing visitors with an immersive experience of the 16th century. This is already the second edition of the event in Casal Comba.
