30-year-old man arrested for setting fire to mattress inside building in Lisbon

The Judicial Police arrested a 30-year-old man suspected of causing a fire in a room where he lived, in Lisbon. The flames were reportedly set directly on a mattress where several pieces of clothing were found.

The fire endangered other people who were in the dwelling at the time of the incident. Additionally, the situation created a risk of the flames spreading to the entire building where the fire occurred.

The man was arrested by the competent authorities within the scope of this investigation. The authorities continue to analyze the circumstances of the incident to determine the causes and responsibilities.
