The Municipality of Seia will fund the tuition fees of students attending Higher Professional Technical Courses (CTeSP) taught by the School of Tourism and Hospitality, located in the municipality. This measure is part of a municipal support program aimed at promoting access to higher education in the region.
The initiative aims to create conditions for more young people, both from the council itself and from outside, to choose Seia as a place for training. The goal is to encourage students to stay in or travel to the municipality to attend these professional higher education courses.
CTeSP are level 5 courses of the National Qualifications Framework, lasting two years, which aim to train specialized technicians in specific areas. At the School of Tourism and Hospitality in Seia, these courses are focused on the tourism and hospitality sector, sectors important for the local and regional economy.
With this funding, the council hopes not only to financially support students, but also to boost the economic activity of the council, enhancing the training of qualified workforce in the tourism and hospitality area.
