Values of the proposal presented by Al Ittihad to Benfica for Leandro Barreiro revealed

Benfica rejected a proposal from Al Ittihad for Leandro Barreiro. The Saudi club moved forward with an offer for the Luxembourg international midfielder but encountered resistance from the Eagles, who showed no willingness to negotiate the player's departure this market.

According to CNN Portugal, the Arabic club put 14 million euros fixed on the table, which could increase by another 2 million in objectives. The proposal was promptly rejected by Benfica, which has reportedly made it known that, to accept negotiating for Barreiro, a higher investment from the Saudi club will be necessary.

Al Ittihad's interest is particularly significant due to the presence of Jens Wissing in the technical command. The current coach of the Saudi club was an assistant to Roger Schmidt during the German coach's time at the Luz and knows Leandro Barreiro well from the time they both worked at Benfica.

Barreiro has been one of Marco Silva's regular picks this season and has taken on an important role in the Eagles' starting eleven.
