JPP says the Regional Government makes "patches" to hide failures in social support in Madeira

The JPP issued a statement criticizing the decision of the Regional Government of Madeira to urgently transfer only thirty patients with problematic discharges to Private Social Solidarity Institutions. The party considers this measure as "the inevitable reflection of a health system in collapse".

According to the JPP, this emergency decision represents only "patches" to hide the failures of social support in the Autonomous Region of Madeira. The party states that the regional executive adopted this measure exclusively to address problems in the system.

The transfer of the thirty patients to social solidarity institutions was described by the JPP as a temporary and insufficient solution given the scale of the problems existing in the health and social support system of the region. The party points to a situation of structural crisis that requires more comprehensive responses.
