The Iranian president stated this Saturday that sanctions imposed by the United States and the naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz caused drops of almost 35 percent in the country's imports and exports. These measures represent a significant blow to the Iranian economy, deeply affecting the nation's international trade.

Iran's supreme leader simultaneously warned that the Government must seriously address the various economic and survival challenges the country faces. This appeal reflects the gravity of the economic situation that Iran is currently experiencing.

The combination of American sanctions and the naval blockade constitutes a determining factor for the economic crisis that Iran faces. This situation has forced Iranian authorities to publicly acknowledge the difficulties faced by the population.
