Model Lara Marina Soares Tosta, Miss Brasil Supranational 2026, announced on social media that she lost her title after discovering a pregnancy. She was admitted to the hospital last Friday and is hospitalized in serious condition, according to her boyfriend, Gustavo, interviewed by UOL.
According to Gustavo, the cause of the hospitalization would have been stress, and Lara is at risk of death. "The situation is quite serious, her life is at risk and especially our son's," the boyfriend stated. Doctors recommended that she not exert herself and avoid episodes of emotional stress.
The CNB (Comité Nacional de Beleza) reported that there was a "breach of contractual obligations considered incompatible with maintaining the title." The entity is responsible for organizing beauty pageants in Brazil.
Lara said the pregnancy was discovered after her return from the Miss Supranational 2026 pageant, held in Poland, where she placed third. On social media, she posted a video explaining that she lost the crown due to being pregnant.
