Nules closes with 'bous al carrer' some festivities with "the peñas as the engine"

El Periódico Mediterráneo - General29 August 2026 at 19:31

Nules ended the patron saint festivities of Saint Bartholomew with "bous al carrer" (bullfights in the street), marking the end of ten intense days of celebrations. The bullfighting tradition marked the end of the festivities in the Spanish town.

The festivities mobilized dozens of neighbors from other municipalities who were attracted by the organized program. The inhabitants of Nules also came out in large numbers to the streets during this period of celebrations in honor of the patron saint Saint Bartholomew.

The peñas, associations of neighbors and local festive groups, were highlighted as the engine of these patron saint festivities. Their participation and organization were considered fundamental for the success of the celebrations.

The city is about to return to normal after this period of intense festive activities that attracted visitors from throughout the region.
