SocioHabitaFunchal celebrates the end of Holiday Camp 2026 with closing party

The final party of Holiday Camp 2026 took place at the Basic School with Pre-School of Santo António and Curral das Freiras, marking the official closing of the initiative. The celebration marked the end of two months of activities carried out throughout the summer. The organization was handled by SocioHabitaFunchal, a municipal company of the Funchal City Council, responsible for coordinating the entire program. The event featured the participation of 120 children and young people, aged between 6 and 16 years old, who over the past few weeks were able to benefit from various leisure activities during the holiday period.

The Serenata da Romaria d'Agonia, a traditional pyrotechnic event in Viana do Castelo, takes place this Saturday after being postponed due to weather conditions. The show features more than 700 thousand pyrotechnic effects distributed across more than 25 launch positions along the Lima river and the iconic Eiffel bridge, where a monumental fire cascade along its entire length will be presented, accompanied by new multimedia elements. The operation involves more than 50 professionals and, due to the postponement, all the structure had to be dismantled and prepared again for the event.
