The Festival Celestino Graça celebrates this year its 65th edition, consolidating itself as one of the most important gatherings of popular and traditional culture held in Portugal. The event maintains its relevance over the decades, demonstrating the importance that cultural tradition still plays in the country.
Ludgero Mendes, responsible for the festival, states that the moment has come to consolidate the project, giving more importance to stability than to innovation. This approach reflects the need to preserve what has been built over 65 years of history.
The Academic Group of Ribatejo Dances is the entity responsible for organizing the festival, facing annually the challenge of raising more than 35 thousand euros to guarantee the realization of the event. This constant financial effort shows the institution's commitment to maintaining this cultural tradition.
