XXV FOLKLORE FESTIVAL BRINGS TRADITION AND CULTURE TO CHAVES' THERMAL BATHS

The XXV Folklore Festival takes place today, August 29, in Chaves, organized by the Folklore Group "Vila Medieval de Santo Estêvão". The event starts at 9:00 PM at the Buvette of the Thermal Baths of Chaves and is dedicated to music, dance, and the preservation of popular traditions.

The festival brings together folklore groups from Portugal and Spain, with confirmed participations from Pontevedra, Vila Verde, and Odivelas. Admission is free for all those interested in attending the event.

The gathering aims to celebrate the diversity of ethnographic heritage and bring different communities together through their traditions. The motto marking this edition is "For the Culture and Tradition of the People", reflecting the purpose of valuing popular traditions.

Chaves recebe hoje, 29 de agosto, o XXV Festival de Folclore do Grupo de Folclore “Vila Medieval de Santo Estêvão”, numa noite dedicada à música, à dança e à preservação das tradições populares.

A partir das 21h00, a Buvete das Termas de Chaves será palco de um encontro que reúne grupos de Portugal e Espanha, com participações de Pontevedra, Vila Verde e Odivelas.

Com entrada livre, o festival pretende celebrar a diversidade do património etnográfico e aproximar diferentes comunidades através das suas tradições, num encontro marcado pelo lema “Pela Cultura e Tradição do Povo”.
