'Broad' clarifications and pursuit of plea deal: how Vorcaro's first testimony this year went, about corruption at the BC

Banker Daniel Vorcaro, owner of Banco Master, gave his first official testimony to the Federal Police on Friday. The businessman spoke with investigators via videoconference directly from the Papudinha jail cell where he is detained. During the session, Vorcaro demonstrated, for the third time, the intention to enter into a plea deal agreement with the PF.

In a statement, Vorcaro's defense said he answered all questions from the delegates clearly and consistently, without leaving any inquiry unanswered. His lawyers, Sérgio Leonardo and Daniel Bialski, also stated that he can provide broader and more in-depth clarifications about the facts, as long as the possibility of collaborating is effectively assured.

The Federal Police has already rejected two plea deal proposals made by the banker's defense previously. The case involves investigations into corruption at the Central Bank.
