The Spanish company Savener, based in Seville, was awarded the development of the engineering for the new reverse osmosis seawater desalination plant located in the Caspian Sea, in Sumqayit, Azerbaijan. This infrastructure represents one of the largest desalination projects in the world.

The plant will supply drinking water to almost three million people, which highlights the scale and strategic importance of the project for the region. The contract reinforces Savener's positioning as a world leader in the water sector.

This project marks another step for the Seville-based company in its strategy to establish itself internationally in the water sector, consolidating its reputation in the design and development of large water treatment infrastructures.
