Art gains space in real estate projects

The integration between art and real estate development has been gaining space as a strategy to create environments more connected to communities and the identity of territories. A study published by the ScienceDirect platform identified that interaction with artworks in urban spaces can increase perceived connection to the neighborhood and contribute to the well-being of residents and frequenters of these areas.

The presence of art in urban daily life can also contribute to a sense of belonging and to a more positive perception of spaces. Additionally, the research points out that this integration can help reduce feelings of anxiety, stress, and negative mood among users of these spaces.

This perspective aligns with the analysis of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), which points out that artist participation in real estate projects can transform initially functional areas into culturally more vibrant places. According to the organization, artists can contribute not only with murals and sculptures, but also with space design, landscaping, lighting, and signage.
