Gas station in the North Zone is shut down for suspected fraud at pumps; video

A gas station located in Rocha Miranda, in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro, was shut down on Thursday (27) during an inspection operation. Agents found electronic devices installed in four pumps at the establishment, identified by numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4.

According to the agencies responsible for the operation, the equipment may interfere with the volume of fuel recorded by the pump and the quantity effectively delivered to the consumer, raising suspicion of fraud in the fueling.

All four pumps were shut down during the operation. The seized devices will be sent for laboratory analysis to verify if there was indeed interference in the fueling and confirm or rule out the possibility of fraud.
