Lula's campaign issued a note clarifying that photos of the president alongside businesswoman Roberta Luchsinger do not indicate the existence of any personal, professional or political connection between the two. The position was a response to images that circulated showing Lula alongside her.
According to the campaign's note, Lula, being a public figure, is frequently approached by people for photographic records throughout his trajectory, especially during electoral campaigns and public agendas. The president's team highlighted that the mere existence of these photos does not necessarily represent a relationship between the people who appear in the records.
Lula's team also stated that the president does not maintain any relationship with Roberta Luchsinger and has never had any communication with her. The clarification was disclosed after Lula stated, in an interview with Jornal Nacional on Thursday (27), that he did not know the businesswoman.
Roberta Luchsinger is pointed out as a partner of Fábio Luís Lula da Silva, Lulinha, the president's son. The information about the partnership between Roberta and Lula's son was what motivated the circulation of the photos and the need for clarification by the campaign.
