SAPO Notícias28 August 2026 at 15:34

Figures from the left wing of the Socialist Party participate in the political rentrée of Bloco de Esquerda, in a moment of rapprochement between the two political forces. Alexandra Leitão and Isabel Moreira are part of the program of the Socialism Forum, which marks the return to political activity after the summer period.

Former coordinators of Bloco de Esquerda also attend this event. Francisco Louçã, Catarina Martins and Mariana Mortágua are some of the names who speak at the forum, reinforcing the relevance of the initiative.

This event serves as a prelude to the rally by José Manuel Pureza, the lead candidate of Bloco for the legislative elections. The participation of Socialist Party personalities demonstrates the climate of understanding between the two left-wing parliamentary benches.
