Regional Government supports regional meeting to value elderly caregivers in Santana

The Regional Meeting 'O Sentido do Cuidar' (The Meaning of Caring) will take place on October 21 at Quinta do Furão, in Santana. The event is promoted by the Association Santana Cidade Solidária, with the support of the Regional Government.

The meeting aims to value and recognize the work of caregivers of elderly people. Professionals working in the area of elderly care will participate in this meeting.

The meeting will allow the sharing of experiences and knowledge among caregivers. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss the best practices in elderly care.

The meeting is part of a broader initiative by the Regional Government to value professionals working in the area of elderly care.

Alentejo Orchestra gains momentum: 'an opportunity the region really must seize' - Henrique Sim-Sim

The creation of the future Regional Orchestra of Alentejo advanced with the conclusion of three information sessions promoted by CCDR Alentejo, in partnership with DGARTES and the Intermunicipal Communities, held in Grândola, Beja, and Portalegre. The Vice-President of CCDR Alentejo, Henrique Sim-Sim, considered the balance of the sessions positive, which allowed the Presentation of the Funding Notice and the collection of contributions from cultural agents and philharmonics throughout the territory. The project has significant investment from the Ministry of Culture, with 810 thousand euros in funding planned for this year, which may increase to one million euros. Henrique Sim-Sim expressed hope that the orchestra could be presented next year, highlighting that this structure could function as an engine for cultural and economic development of the region, appealing to the participation of municipalities and cultural agents.
