Government reinforces support for irrigation system repairs with 25 million euros

The Portuguese Government will launch on September 1st a new call for proposals worth 25 million euros to support the repair and improvement of irrigation systems that were affected by a series of storms.

This funding is specifically intended for irrigation systems that suffered damage due to what is described as a "train of storms," meaning a sequence of adverse weather phenomena that hit these infrastructures.

The announcement reinforces the executive's commitment to supporting farmers and rural communities affected by these extreme weather events, making funds available for the recovery of essential agricultural infrastructure.
