Estremoz Municipal Swimming Pool Reopens This Saturday After Bacteria Detected in Water

The Estremoz Municipal Swimming Pool will reopen on Saturday, 29 August, after being closed due to detection of staphylococcus in the outdoor swimming pool water. The council informed that the situation has now been normalized and that safety conditions are in place for reopening the facility.

The presence of the bacteria was identified through a water quality analysis. After detection, the necessary procedures were immediately triggered, and the normalization of the water conditions was subsequently confirmed, in compliance with the required safety standards.

The council reinforced the appeal to users to comply with the indispensable hygiene rules before entering the tank. Among the recommendations are taking a prior shower and using duly sanitized equipment, measures considered fundamental to ensure water quality and the safety of all users.

A Piscina Municipal de Estremoz vai reabrir este sábado, 29 de agosto, depois de terem sido detetados estafilococos na água da piscina exterior. Segundo a informação divulgada pela autarquia, a situação encontra-se normalizada e estão reunidas as condições de segurança para a reabertura.

A presença de estafilococos foi identificada na sequência de uma análise à qualidade da água da piscina exterior. Perante a situação, foram de imediato desencadeados os procedimentos necessários, tendo sido posteriormente confirmada a normalização das condições da água, de acordo com as normas de segurança exigidas.

Assim, o equipamento municipal retoma o seu funcionamento já este sábado, 29 de agosto.

Na informação divulgada, é também reforçado o apelo aos utentes para que cumpram as regras de higiene indispensáveis antes de entrarem no tanque. Entre as recomendações está a realização de duche prévio e a utilização de equipamento devidamente higienizado, medidas consideradas fundamentais para assegurar a qualidade da água e a segurança de todos.
