Photographer from Braga brings railway memory to Vila das Aves

Photographer Rui Vilaça, from Ruílhe in the district of Braga, is the author of the exhibition "The Train and Society", which is on public display at the Municipal Cultural Centre of Vila das Aves.

The exhibition can be visited between September 5 and October 31, bringing together a collection of photographs that explore the railway heritage of the northern region of the country.

The images presented depict stations, lines, trains and landscapes associated with the railway universe, also seeking to preserve and share the memories linked to this sector.

With this exhibition, Rui Vilaça aims to contribute to the appreciation and dissemination of the historical and cultural legacy linked to the railways in northern Portugal.

Victoria Luengo: "We live in a society that continues to blame victims over their abusers"

Victoria Luengo, actress from Palma (1990), talked about her career that began at 15 — from theater to cinema, with no particular desire to stop there. A turning point was the series "Antidisturbios" with the Ondas award, followed by the film "Suro" with a Goya nomination and the phenomenon "Red Queen". On stage she shone in "Prima Facie", confirming her readiness to play painful roles. In 2024 she received the Princess of Girona prize for art. She is now working again with director Rodrigo Sorogoyen. Luengo emphasizes: "We live in a society that continues to point fingers at victims rather than their abusers", and tries not to take herself too seriously, maintaining "hunger and respect" for her profession.
