Albares: "They are part of our territorial integrity and our sovereignty"

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of Spain, José Manuel Albares, stated that Ceuta and Melilla are part of Spanish territorial integrity and sovereignty. His statements were made during an appearance before Congress to account for the situation that Ceuta has faced since the last days of July.

Albares declared that the stability and prosperity of the autonomous cities of Ceuta and Melilla are an absolute priority for his ministry. He also emphasized that this stability is equally important both for Spain and for Europe as a whole.

The minister described the situation in Ceuta as a "drama" that has affected the city since the end of July. Albares pointed to the circulation of misinformation as the origin of this crisis, referring specifically to "hoaxes" that spread through social media.

Municipality of Vila Real de Santo António signs deeds for 114 housing units from the former Cine-Foz

The Municipality of Vila Real de Santo António formalized the acquisition of 114 housing units on the former Cine-Foz land, in an investment of 27.2 million euros funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan. The deeds were signed at the City Hall with the presence of president Álvaro Araújo and the president of IHRU. This acquisition is part of the municipal strategy to strengthen public housing, which has already included 70, 29, and 7 units in previous phases, in addition to 372 rehabilitated housing units. The housing units are intended for the local population and will be assigned through a competition to be launched shortly. The construction of 96 housing units near Intermarché is also planned.
