The president of the Câmara de Matosinhos made statements today to the Portuguese news agency Lus(a) in which she stated that municipalities have been "greatly harmed" by the Government's lack of decision-making.
The local leader specifically criticized the delay and difficulty in decision-making by the executive led by the PSD/CDS-PP, referring particularly to matters related to housing.
This complaint arises in the context of a tense relationship between Portuguese municipalities and the central Government, with local authorities demanding greater support and speed in resolving problems that affect local populations.
The issue of housing has been one of the main concerns nationwide in Portugal, with several municipalities facing difficulties in implementing housing policies due to blockages at the central government level.
