Mercadona will open a new supermarket in Taipas in 2027

Mercadona will open a new supermarket in Taipas, Guimarães, with opening scheduled for 2027. The confirmation was made by a company source, although there is no concrete date for the opening yet, as the works are in an initial phase.

The new store will be located on Avenida 25 de Abril, near the GNR police station, in an easily accessible area of the town of Taipas.

With this opening, Mercadona will have three supermarkets in the municipality of Guimarães, reinforcing its presence in the region.

The company has not yet provided more details about the size of the future store or the number of jobs that will be created with this unit.

A abertura foi confirmada por fonte da empresa. Ainda não existe uma data concreta para a inauguração, uma vez que as obras se encontram numa fase inicial. A nova loja ficará localizada na Avenida 25 de Abril, nas proximidades do posto da GNR, numa zona de fácil acesso da vila.

Com esta abertura, a Mercadona passará a contar com três supermercados no concelho de Guimarães.

Para já, a empresa não avançou com mais detalhes sobre a dimensão da futura loja das Taipas ou sobre o número de postos de trabalho que serão criados.
