NordicEPOD, the result of a consortium between the Norwegian company CTS and the American Eaton, has started production in Viana do Castelo of equipment for receiving, transforming, distributing and stabilizing energy destined for data centers. The new factory, located between the parishes of Darque and Vila Nova de Anha, began operating two weeks ago.

The company invested 50 million euros in this facility and already has orders secured until June 2027. Currently, production operates in two work shifts, but NordicEPOD plans to expand operations next year.

The project includes the creation of approximately 500 jobs in the region. The company also plans to build a training center and a showroom at the factory facilities in Viana do Castelo.
