The Municipal Council of Góis organizes, on the 12th and 19th of September, the third edition of the intercultural festival "Lavadouros com Alma", which aims to transform old communal spaces into places of artistic creation, sharing of traditions, and multicultural gathering. The initiative will take place in Sacões, in the parish of Vila Nova do Ceira, and in Amiosinho, in the parish of Alvares.
The festival aims to promote a new approach to local heritage through the crossing between the memories associated with the wash-houses and the cultural diversity of the communities that currently inhabit the municipality. The third edition reinforces a participatory approach to heritage, using these historic spaces as meeting points between different generations, cultures, knowledge, and experiences.
The programme for the 12th of September, in Sacões, includes the painting of a mural inspired by the work "O Juiz da Água" by Francisco Barata Dias, live lettering interventions, street theatre, literary conversations, a workshop on medicinal plants, musical entertainment, a communal lunch, and the Opening of an exhibition at the wash-house.
On the 19th of September, in Amiosinho, there is planned an ethnographic recreation of the traditional clothes washing at the communal tank, accompanied by the creation of urban art murals, tertúlias about the fantastic and staged readings. The programme ends with street theatre, a sharing supper, an astronomical observation session, and the "Grandma's Café" initiative.
A Câmara Municipal de Góis organiza, nos dias 12 e 19 de Setembro, a terceira edição do festival intercultural “Lavadouros com Alma”, que pretende transformar antigos espaços comunitários em locais de criação artística, partilha de tradições e convívio multicultural.
Esta iniciativa vai decorrer em Sacões, na freguesia de Vila Nova do Ceira, e em Amiosinho, na freguesia de Alvares, procurando promover uma nova abordagem ao património local através do cruzamento entre as memórias associadas aos lavadouros e a diversidade cultural das comunidades que actualmente habitam o concelho. Segundo o Município de Góis, a terceira edição pretende reforçar uma abordagem participativa ao património, utilizando estes espaços históricos como pontos de encontro entre diferentes gerações, culturas, saberes e experiências.
A programação começa no dia 12 de Setembro, em Sacões, com a pintura de um mural inspirado na obra “O Juiz da Água”, de Francisco Barata Dias. O programa inclui ainda intervenções de lettering ao vivo, teatro de rua, conversas literárias e uma oficina dedicada às plantas medicinais, além de animação musical, um almoço comunitário e a inauguração de uma exposição no lavadouro.
O festival prossegue no dia 19 de Setembro, em Amiosinho, onde está prevista uma recriação etnográfica da tradicional lavagem de roupa no tanque comunitário, acompanhada pela criação de murais de arte urbana, tertúlias dedicadas ao fantástico e leituras encenadas. A terceira edição do “Lavadouros com Alma” termina com teatro de rua, uma ceia de partilha, uma sessão de observação astronómica e a iniciativa “Café da Avó”.
