Creditreform, one of Germany's leading financial information companies, issued a warning about a new threat to Germany's economy. This is the increased over-indebtedness of German households, driven by the pressure on the cost of living and labor market fragility.
Inflation and the labor market situation are pressing German households, threatening to worsen the problem of over-indebtedness in the country. Creditreform forecasts a significant increase in the number of consumers who will fail to meet their regular financial obligations.
Patrik-Ludwig Hantzsch, head of economic research at Creditreform, considers it possible that the number of over-indebted people in Germany could increase significantly.
