Today the wild party takes place in São João d'Arga, in the heart of the Serra d'Arga. This pilgrimage is one of the most unique and emblematic in all of Alto Minho.

The event takes place every year on August 28 and 29, attracting visitors to the mountainous region of northern Portugal.

The setting of the party could not be more fitting, as the pilgrimage takes place far from major urban centers, among slopes, ancient paths, granite outcrops and oak trees.

City Day Celebrations provide cultural program in September

Setúbal Municipal Council organizes, throughout the entire month of September, an extensive cultural program to celebrate City Day and the 261st anniversary of poet Bocage's birth, associating this year the Bocage Celebrations with the Centenary of Setúbal as District Capital. The program includes musical performances, exhibitions, theater, workshops, the Língua Terra Festival, the XI Serenata de Fado de Coimbra, the premiere of a community opera, and the Centenary Parade, with free activities and others with tickets at varied prices. The highlight occurs on September 15, Bocage and City Day, with ceremonial protocols, delivery of Honorary Medals, and the XXIV Literary Prize Manuel Maria Barbosa du Bocage.
