More than 300 affected assisted by the consulate in La Guaira

More than 300 Portuguese people from La Guaira, in northern Venezuela, affected by the double earthquake of August 24, were assisted by officials from the General Consulate of Portugal in Caracas during a consular presence in Cátia La Mar.

Portugal's consul-general stated on Thursday that more than 300 people were assisted, indicating that these consular presences are being organized as a form of support for the affected Luso-Venezuelan population.

The main services provided included passport issuance, death registration, and replacement of documents lost during the earthquakes.

The consulate's trip to Cátia La Mar aims to facilitate access to consular services for Portuguese citizens in the La Guaira region who cannot travel to the capital Caracas.
