Earthquake. Portuguese consulate assisted more than 300 affected people
The Consulate General of Portugal in Caracas assisted more than 300 people affected by the earthquakes that occurred in the city of La Guaira, Venezuela. The Portuguese consular post has been receiving a high number of assistance requests since the earthquakes.
The requests made by affected citizens are mainly related to the need for replacement of documents lost during the earthquakes. Many people lost their identification documents as a result of the natural catastrophe.
In addition, the consulate has also been receiving requests related to death certificates. Family members of victims of the earthquakes go to the consulate to obtain assistance with the necessary legal procedures.
The Consulate General of Portugal in Caracas continues to provide consular support to Portuguese citizens and those of Portuguese descent affected by this tragedy that struck the La Guaira region.
