SESARAM announces availability of 30 spots for people in social discharge situations

The Health Service of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, EPERAM (SESARAM), announced that it has been informed by the Social Security Institute of Madeira about the availability of 30 spots for the reception of people in social discharge situations.

These spots are intended for people who are currently hospitalized at Dr. Nélio Mendonça Hospital and Marmeleiros Hospital, both regional hospital units.

The communication states that this solution aims to resolve the situation of patients who, although clinically fit for hospital discharge, cannot leave the hospital due to lack of social conditions or adequate reception.

The partnership between SESARAM and the Social Security Institute of Madeira thus aims to free up hospital beds occupied by people who do not need healthcare but are awaiting social reception solutions.
