IHRU OPENS COMPETITION FOR 77 HOUSES FOR AFFORDABLE RENTAL. BEJA IS ON THE LIST

The Institute for Housing and Urban Rehabilitation (IHRU) opened nine competitions for the allocation of 77 houses for affordable rental. The houses are distributed across 19 municipalities in the country.

Beja is included in the list of municipalities covered by these available houses for affordable rental. The program aims to provide housing at affordable prices for the population.

IHRU is the organization responsible for managing these competitions and for allocating the houses to eligible candidates. The program is part of a broader housing policy strategy in Portugal.

Albergaria-A-Velha: Agreement signed with landowners of land covered by future 'City Park'

The municipality of Albergaria-A-Velha celebrated an agreement with a family owning rustic land essential for the construction of the future City Park, a green corridor located next to Largo dos Chorões. The agreement provides for the payment of almost 210 thousand euros for an area of 17,512 square meters. The park, with approximately 3.7 hectares, will be situated north of the city center and will include paths, functional spaces, balanced ecosystems and about 120 trees of various species, such as silver birch, ash and pedunculate oak, as well as herbaceous plants such as lavender and rosemary, offering the population a green space of landscape and social value.

'Imovirtual Barometer': Average selling price in Aveiro declining

The Imovirtual Barometer reveals that the average price of properties for sale in Portugal remained at 430,000 euros in August, while rental remained at 1,300 euros per month. The Centro region leads the price increase for sales with +14.6% compared to the previous year, with Coimbra registering one of the most expressive developments (17%). Conversely, Porto shows an annual decline of 13% and Aveiro dropped 7.3%, to 355,000 euros. In rental, it is the Norte that grows the most, with +20%.
