Sabrosa invests one million in the rehabilitation of a historic square

The municipality of Sabrosa, in Vila Real, will invest around one million euros in the rehabilitation of the historic square of the town, with works scheduled to take eight months. The project aims to modernize the central garden, preserving important heritage elements such as the bandstand and the late Baroque fountain from the 18th century, thus combining historical valorization with the modernization of the public space.

The municipality of Albergaria-A-Velha celebrated an agreement with a family owning rustic land essential for the construction of the future City Park, a green corridor located next to Largo dos Chorões. The agreement provides for the payment of almost 210 thousand euros for an area of 17,512 square meters. The park, with approximately 3.7 hectares, will be situated north of the city center and will include paths, functional spaces, balanced ecosystems and about 120 trees of various species, such as silver birch, ash and pedunculate oak, as well as herbaceous plants such as lavender and rosemary, offering the population a green space of landscape and social value.
