Glória elevator derailment. Insurer has already assumed costs of 2.3 million euros including four compensations

Nearly a year after the Glória elevator derailment in Lisbon, insurer Fidelidade has already assumed costs of 2.3 million euros, including four indemnities already paid. The insurance company states that the conclusion of the proceedings depends on the clinical stabilization of the victims, the obtaining of elements for assessment of damages, and, in compensation proceedings, on the agreement between the parties.

A 27-year-old man was arrested by the PSP in Rio de Mouro, Sintra, on suspicion of drug trafficking. The arrest, carried out by the Sintra Criminal Investigation Division, followed the recovery of a vehicle in a case of breach of trust. Airport is absolutely at a standstill, reports CBN listener at Santos Dumont

All flights from Santos Dumont Airport in Rio de Janeiro were redirected to Galeão on Thursday afternoon after an accident on the runway involving an Embraer EMB-500 Phenom 100 executive jet. A CBN listener reporting from the scene said she was boarding a plane that had its flight canceled while passengers were still inside the aircraft. There is no estimate for when the runway will reopen, and the airport is completely inoperative.
