Pedro Paiva, 63 years old, has been missing for a month since he left by bicycle from Figueira da Foz on July 22, without it being possible to locate any trace of his whereabouts. The authorities and the family continue to carry out searches to try to find the man, who left alone for a leisure activity and never returned home.

Beaches prohibited for swimming

Several beaches in the municipality of Espinho have been closed to swimming due to microbiological contamination in the water, leading to the raising of red flags and increased warnings to swimmers and surfers. The closure covers beaches such as Rua 37, Frente Azul Sul, Frente Azul Centro and Seca, including areas like Marbelo and Pop Norte. The Espinho City Council is monitoring the situation "on a permanent basis" and acknowledges that the problem may be related to the weather conditions of the week and the opening of the fuse dike at Barrinha de Esmoriz/Lagoa de Paramos.
