The Supreme Federal Court analyzes on Tuesday the Federal Police report that indicated Justice Alexandre de Moraes exchanged 52 messages with Daniel Vorcaro, former owner of Grupo Master, arrested for billion-dollar financial fraud. This is the first time the STF justices decide whether to open an investigation against a colleague from the Court.
The plenary session was suspended and will resume at 3 PM. In the first phase, which began around 10 AM, Alexandre de Moraes made accusations against colleague André Mendonça, stating he has evidence and witnesses that he attempted to influence plea bargains to include Moraes' name among those reported in the Master case.
Daniel Vorcaro, on two occasions, offered plea bargains, both to the Federal Police and to the Attorney General's Office, and had both rejected. Moraes' speech occurred during the justices' assessment of the Federal Police's conduct in the investigations into the Master case and Vorcaro's relationship with the justice himself.
