Trump criticized the US Supreme Court decision that blocked his administration's efforts to change mail voting rules. On Monday, the Supreme Court rejected a Trump executive order related to these restrictions on mail-in voting.
The American president made harsh criticisms of the three justices he himself appointed during his first term: Amy Coney Barrett, Brett M. Kavanaugh and Neil M. Gorsuch. On social media, Trump wrote that "these are not the people I interviewed to serve on the US Supreme Court."
Trump said the three justices are "just a shadow of what they originally were" and accused the court of causing harm to the USA. He said the Supreme Court is "costing the USA trillions of dollars with shockingly bad decisions."
The president also warned that the consequences of these decisions would be severe for the country, saying "it will not be easy for our country to recover or heal."
