Prosegur Alarms and Vodafone Launch Partnership to Sell Security and Telecommunications Services

Jornal Económico15 September 2026 at 19:42

Prosegur Alarms and Vodafone Portugal have established a partnership to make available a joint offering of monitored security and telecommunications services. The new solution will be commercialized through Vodafone channels and is expected to reach the market in the coming weeks. With this agreement, the operator's customers, who number approximately four million in Portugal, as well as new subscribers, will be able to contract Prosegur Alarms security services under conditions that will be disclosed later.

The partnership comes in a residential security market that continues to grow in Portugal, driven by the adoption of technologies based on digital communications. The proposal will allow connectivity and monitored security services to be combined in a single subscription. Vodafone will be responsible for commercializing the offering, while Prosegur Alarms will ensure equipment installation, system monitoring, and customer support.

Carlos Capel, General Director of Prosegur Alarms in Portugal, states that the Portuguese market has a growing weight in the company's strategy. According to the executive, the collaboration with Vodafone is part of the company's growth model and contributes to strengthening its presence in Portugal. Also Luís Lopes, CEO of Vodafone Portugal, frames the partnership within the operator's offer diversification strategy, which after the health and energy sectors, now includes security in the set of services provided to customers.

Why this matters

Readers in Portugal with Vodafone services will soon be able to contract monitored security services through the same operator, benefiting from joint conditions. The partnership represents Vodafone's expansion into the security sector and positions Prosegur to gain a larger share in a residential market that continues to grow, driven by the digitalization of communications. Buying a used car? These signs can reveal it was already a TVDE

When buying a used car in Portugal, it is important to know how to identify if the vehicle was previously used as a TVDE (Uber, Bolt), as it may have accumulated more wear and tear than it appears. The main signs include high mileage compared to the car's age, inspections more frequent than normal (TVDE vehicles undergo annual inspection from the first year), unusual wear on rear seats and door handles, marks on the windscreen from mounts or cameras, and traces of old stickers. The law approved in 2026 reinforces the identification of these vehicles with anti-fraud elements. A former TVDE vehicle is not necessarily a bad purchase, but the buyer should adjust the price and condition assessment, always requesting the complete documentary history and an independent mechanical evaluation before closing the deal.
