New 'Bintaço' with flights between Madeira and the Canary Islands starting at 68 euros

NewsAvia15 September 2026 at 19:17

Binter, a Spanish airline with its headquarters and operational base on the island of Gran Canaria, announced the launch of a new 'Bintaço' that allows its customers to purchase tickets at reduced prices to fly between the islands of Madeira and the Canary Islands.

The new promotion applies to tickets purchased by September 28, for travel between November 1, 2026 and March 31, 2027. Interested passengers can purchase tickets starting at 68 euros to fly to the Canary Islands, when purchasing a ticket between Madeira and Gran Canaria and between Madeira and Tenerife Norte. This price is valid per route.

Tickets can be purchased through the airline's usual sales channels: www.binter.pt, phone assistance at 291 290 129, or through travel agencies.

The airline also offers the 'Discover Stopover' product for Madeirans who wish to combine two islands in a single trip, as well as the 'AirPass Explorer', a pass that allows visitors to explore several islands of the Canary archipelago in a single trip at a competitive price.

Why this matters

Madeira passengers now have access to a more affordable travel option to the Canary Islands, with prices starting at 68 euros per route. The promotion, valid for the winter period until March 2027, may influence travel plans for residents in the region who wish to visit the neighboring islands, whether for leisure or to combine multiple destinations in a single journey.

Buying a used car? These signs can reveal it was already a TVDE

When buying a used car in Portugal, it is important to know how to identify if the vehicle was previously used as a TVDE (Uber, Bolt), as it may have accumulated more wear and tear than it appears. The main signs include high mileage compared to the car's age, inspections more frequent than normal (TVDE vehicles undergo annual inspection from the first year), unusual wear on rear seats and door handles, marks on the windscreen from mounts or cameras, and traces of old stickers. The law approved in 2026 reinforces the identification of these vehicles with anti-fraud elements. A former TVDE vehicle is not necessarily a bad purchase, but the buyer should adjust the price and condition assessment, always requesting the complete documentary history and an independent mechanical evaluation before closing the deal.

Fuel. Spain increased its advantage since the beginning of the crisis

Spain expanded its fiscal advantage in fuels compared to Portugal since the beginning of the energy price crisis, even after restoring the standard VAT rate. The neighboring country reduced fuel taxes more aggressively and maintains lower prices, despite having reversed part of the extraordinary measures. Several other European countries have also been losing tax revenue in an attempt to curb the escalation of prices at the pumps.
