The company B-Parts implemented a European alert system with automatic blocking that stopped parts from 949 vehicle models. The system was developed to cross-reference European alerts with the company's catalog, functioning as a regulatory compliance and safety tool.
Since its implementation, the system has already resulted in 3,299 parts restrictions. These restrictions are applied automatically when incompatibilities or problems identified in European alerts regarding certain components are detected.
The company uses artificial intelligence to assist the entire process of identifying and blocking parts. The AI automatically cross-references European alert data with the available catalog, making the process faster and more efficient.
However, despite the support of artificial intelligence, the final decision on blocking parts is not made automatically by technology. The B-Parts catalog team is responsible for analyzing and validating each restriction before it is applied, thus ensuring human supervision in the process.
